How Much Does It Cost To File Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?
Our legal fees in Chapter 13 cases typically range between $750 and $2200.00 depending on the complexity of the case. In addition, there is a $160 filing fee for the Bankruptcy Court. Our normal policy is to require a $50.00 retainer prior to filing plus $160 for the Court's filing fee. The remainder of the fees are paid by the trustee from the debtor's monthly payments. This fee includes all work through and including the confirmation hearing. Any work done after confirmation is separately billed but is still paid by the trustee from the debtor's monthly payments.
